What kind of photographer are you?
I am a natural light photographer. I specialize mostly in families and children, but also shoot couples, maternity, seniors, and special events.
Where will my session be held?
I typically shoot at our local parks. Jasper and surrounding areas have so many beautiful locations! I am always open to new locations, so if you have a location that is special to you or your family, just let me know!
How long will my session be?
Sessions usually last around 45 minutes. I always shoot until I am confident I have what I need to provide you with precious, lasting memories. So, if that means we need to take a little extra time, I will.
What will my session be like?
I always try to keep my sessions fun and stress free! Along with my posed portraits, I shoot several lifestyle portraits, which means I want to capture your family AS YOU ARE! All those little laughs or maybe even some tears, and that is OK!
What should I do to prepare for my session?
To get the most out of your session, make sure that your little one has rested and has had adequate snacks and water. We can take breaks for snacks and play, however I will probably still shoot during the breaks. Bring dry, non messy snacks so their little faces stay clean during the session. Prepare the child for the session by letting them know that a friend will be taking some photos of them, it's best not to surprise them. I encourage you to make this a fun family experience. Instead of bribing your children with a treat, make this a feel good day. Make plans to go out for dinner or a treat after the session as a family. Not as a reward but as part of the overall experience.
What should I wear?
As moms, we are usually the photographers of our own families, which means we don't always get to be in the pictures. I love to make my sessions special for mom and usually recommend mom pick her outfit first and coordinate the rest of the family from there. Wardrobe should be comfortable and reflect who you are. I do not recommend matching but rather complementary colors and patterns.
How far out are you booked?
Its best to book about a month in advance. If you need somethings sooner, don't hesitate to ask. I always try to work with my clients on their needs.
Will I get the digital photos from my session?
Yes! I deliver all my photos through a private online gallery, which can be downloaded straight to your desktop. If you would also like to order prints or products please let me know.
When can I expect to get my pictures?
My turnaround time for galleries is about 2 weeks.
